Belbin® Team Roles – Half Day Workshop

Belbin® Team Roles is one of the most rigorous tool for working out team dynamics available. The Belbin® profiles were updated to encompass nine team roles (As opposed to eight in the original) and would be carried out online prior to the workshop. In the first instance we may recommend self-perception but there an option of a 360 (observer input) version if required.

By the end of this training workshop attendees will be able to;

  • Think differently about themselves and their team members.
  • Recognise their own strengths and the importance of difference
  • Recognise how the sum of the team parts may be more valuable than the individuals working on their own
  • Give a strong insight into team members team role preferences and how they can use this effectively in their roles
  • Give greater emphasis to the allocation of roles in team tasks
  • Identify the key shape of the team in terms of team roles and also any team Achilles heel

Although the content will vary from session to session, this will give an example of the type of content we will cover on a typical workshop

  • The Theory and background to Belbin® Team Roles
  • Analysing the individual Belbin® Profile
  • Allocating nicknames
  • Stages of team development
  • How the team performs
  • Playing to our strengths as a team
  • What sort of people would we recruit to balance a team
  • What is our team Achilles heel
  • Peak performing teams
  • Wrap Up
